Today we started the Civil War. We talked about how perspective can change the way that we study different topics. We looked at how Texas is studying history, and decided that "worker" probably isn't the best word to use for a slave. Then we analyzed some big themes of the Civil War including advantages and disadvantages for each side, strategy, the first two battles, and the draft. We saw New York City turn to chaos with the draft riots, and saw Leo get snubbed from yet another Oscar...
